John Hefferon, M.D.

John A. Hefferon, M.D., is co-medical director along with Leonard J. Cerullo, M.D., of the Neurologic & Orthopedic Hospital of Chicago. Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Hefferon specializes in general orthopedics, arthroscopy, and sports medicine.

A leading Chicago orthopedic surgeon, Doctor Hefferon is the league physician for the NBA and WNBA. He also was team physician for the Chicago Bulls from 1984 to 1996 as well as for the 1996 U.S. Olympic Team.

Dr. Hefferon earned the bachelor of arts degrees at Brown University and the doctor of medicine degree at Northwestern University Medical School . He did his residency at SUNY-Buffalo Consortium Hospital.
