Kenneth S. Dr. Heiferman is a board-certified neurosurgeon with over 15 years of experience treating the full range of neurosurgical disorders. He is an authority on the surgical and non-surgical treatment of back and neck pains. Dr. Heiferman has significant expertise and experience performing complex spine surgeries including minimally invasive procedures and artificial disc replacement surgery, which have shown to reduce post-operative pain and speed recovery time. Dr. Heiferman holds in high regard a conservative approach to patient care. He recommends invasive surgery only after non-surgical alternatives have been ruled out.
Dr. Heiferman also has expertise in treating patients with trigeminal neuralgia and peripheral nerve diseases such as carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar nerve disorders.
Dr. Heiferman performed his medical school and residency training at Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago , followed by a fellowship in neurosurgical oncology at CINN. He joined the CINN medical staff in 1989.
