Visitor Accommodations
A patient's family and friends are welcome to visit any time during the patient stay. To promote health and healing, however, we suggest visiting during the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. If these times are inconvenient, our nurses and clinicians are happy to discuss other arrangements.
We also recommend no more than two people in a room at a time. Children under age 12 should be accompanied by an adult. Children under age six may visit with the consent of the patient's physicians.
Gifts
Family and friends may bring or send gifts, cards, and flowers to Institute patients. We generally discourage sending potted plants, however. For patients in the intensive care units (ICU), cut flowers and helium balloons are not permitted; should they be received while a patient is in the ICU, we'll deliver them once the patient is transferred to a general care unit.
Nearby Accommodations
NOHC does not provide overnight accommodations for visitors. However, we are happy to provide a list of nearby hotels should family and loved ones wish to stay overnight.
