Pain Relief for All Conditions

Many patients with painful symptoms stemming from neurologic and orthopedic conditions can find relief in an individualized, multifaceted regime of noninvasive therapy and preventive education.

NOHC offers a range of minimally invasive pain therapies. The goal of these less-invasive interventions is to provide sufficient pain relief so the patient can begin a regime of physical therapy and strengthening-services you'll also find at NOHC for a comprehensive, integrated approach to healing and pain relief.

Among the pain management services and techniques, NOHC's team of physiatrists, therapists, and clinicians provide:

Accurate pain diagnoses using NOHC's array of advanced diagnostic testing technologies, including X rays, nerve conduction and electro-diagnostic studies, CT scans and MRIs.

Epidural steroid injections (ESIs) for back and neck pain. Powerful anti-inflammatory medications are injected into the epidural space surrounding the spinal cord and spinal nerves to reduce swelling and associated pains.

Trigger point injections can provide pain relief when an anesthetic agent is injected into painful trigger points-often muscle tissue, muscle lining, skin, ligaments or tendons. By treating the trigger point, radiating pain quite far from the trigger point can often be relieved.

Facet joint injections may be an option when more conservative treatments for back and neck pain don't succeed. A more involved procedure requiring an X ray and iodine dye to ensure accurate needle placement, this treatment may be repeated up to three times annually if needed.

Rehabilitation and physical and occupational therapies are effective components for long-term success.
