The Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Center
From injury prevention through diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, Neurologic & Orthopedic Hospital of Chicago offers comprehensive sports medicine to enhance top performance among youth, high school, collegiate, club, and professional athletes.
Under the direction of Dr. Preston Wolin, league physician for the MSA Chicago Fire and the Chicago-DePaul Blue Demons, along with involvement of NBA league physician Dr. John Hefferon, our Sports Medicine team treats a range of athletes from professionals, to weekend warriors, to those who simply want to become more active or begin a routine exercise program.
Examples of common sports injuries we treat include:
- Concussions
- Knee, ankle, and foot sprains or muscle strains
- Cartilage repair
- Dislocations and broken bones
- Overuse injuries such as tendonitis, stress fractures, and knee or
- ACL problems from golf, running, tennis, weight lifting, swimming, and throwing.
Neurologic & Orthopedic Hospital of Chicago also provides community sports support through team physician services, sports medicine seminars for school coaches and parents, and sports injury clinics throughout the year for athletes of all ability levels.
